Radhakishan Damani was born on January 1, 1954, in Bikaner, Rajasthan. His full name is Radhakishan Shivkishan Damani. He was born into an Indian Marwari family. His father, Shivkishanji Damani, was also part of the stock market business; his brother, Gopikishan Damani, is an investor.

He belonged to a simple family and lived in initially in a single-room apartment in the city. Radhakishan pursued his further education in a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Mumbai; then, he dropped out of the degree in the second year.

His father worked in a stock market on Dalal Street, and after his father’s death, he became a stock market broker and investor.
